Adesola Okpeh is a Registered Engineer in the Oil and Energy Industry with
technical competencies in Operations Management, Project Management, and
Electrical Power Generation. Prior to joining RED Universal, she worked as an
Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with NNPC Engineering and Technical
Company (NETCO) Limited, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC) Limited. She has worked and delivered excellently on
several projects including FEED of EIIJ Gas Pipeline Project and South Offshore
Area Produced Water Disposal Project.
Sola has also worked in the
Electrical Department at the Lagos State Ministry of Works and
Infrastructure, where she took part in major Street Lighting projects and
Marina Gas turbine project. During that period, she was transferred to Lagos
State Electricity Board (LSEB) to join a team performing a research
analysis on the Use of Biomass for Power Generation in Lagos State. Her
passion for the efficient utilisation of Energy led her to pursue academic
research at the Master’s level which analysed the Use of Coal Energy for Power
Generation in Nigeria, which she was well-commended for receiving a Distinction
on her post-graduate research study.
Additionally, she has developed
strong analytical skills, excellent research skills, strong leadership
competencies and a reputation for efficiency when implementing and delivering
projects. These can be attributed to her commitment to excellence and
self-development. The diverse sectors she has worked in (Energy, IT
Consulting, Manufacturing, Fintech and the Government) have contributed to the professional
she is today.
She is Registered with the Council
for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and holds memberships
with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Nigerian Institute
of Management (NIM). Sola holds a Bachelor's degree
in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Covenant University, Nigeria
and a Master's degree in Engineering Business Management from the University
of Warwick, UK.
